Business Cards






Artist Statement:

In this project, I created three different designs of my business card while also including my past-colored logos. I was able to do three different versions with my three different colored logos in diverse ways.

            I created the business cards in these three specific ways because I wanted them to be simple but pretty. I think that simplicity makes things prettier, and the designs don’t take away from the message. The colors and designs do not have a specific meaning other than to be visually pleasing. I really like using my sunflower logos because I believe that it helps show who I am as a person in my business cards.

            My overall vision was to create business cards that would reflect me as a person and present a good vibe for people to want to reach me. There are no sources that inspired my designs or affected the idea of the business cards in my head. I believe the most important techniques in the business cards was the coloring and organization. Without the layout of the business cards, it would not be the same and would not be as pleasing as I want it to be. The colors are also important to match with the background and everything in order to making the business card look well-formed and professional.

            Therefore, this project was really helpful for my future creation of business cards and first steps as a professional. The business cards perfectly present the ideas I want to put out into the world and perfectly depicts how hard I worked while creating these cards.

Artist Statement    The logo that I’m reusing for my Tagbrush project in Photoshop is the sunflower logo. In the Photoshop app, I added some new techniques to give the logo a complete, new makeover.    The picture was originally used for a past project, where I drew a sunflower to be drawn on my forehead as my personal logo. As I have mentioned before, the sunflower resonates with the qualities and values I have. Sunflowers are associated with happiness, bubbliness, and sunshine. Illustrator Tools for Beginners

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_-ygXZUq3U I believe that the tool that will be the easiest to use is the type tool because it is similar to ones I have used in other applications like Canvas or Word. I think that the hardest tool to use will be the Layer tool because even though I understand how to use it, I still need to practice to feel more comfortable with it. I might use the text tool for writing texts on different artworks or creating articles. Meanwhile, I use the layers tool to create a various number of artwork in the same page. What I find interesting about this video is how he explained the gridlines and helped me understand how to move the shapes and shadows. BW to Color

  In this assignment, I used the Adobe app called Photoshop to edit the colors in one of my pictures. The photograph I used for the assignment is the one I used for a previous assignment where I am sitting in the docs in front of the riverwalk while admiring the buildings.           The history behind this picture is that  I have visited the docks at night regularly to find some hours of peace and even, friendly conversations. This is a place where I connect with nature and other people at the same time.   My overall vision of this assignment was to give color to the city of Tampa. I believe changing the colors represents different perspectives we can see through the city.
