Artist Statement: For my final project of the semester, I created a Portfolio to showcase all my work. Here, I included every major project completed in class through the different applications provided by Adobe.             I created the portfolio in order to have it available for any future job that I would need to present one. A portfolio has always been helpful and helps demonstrate my skills and my improvement throughout time. The overall vision of this project was to continue using the theme of nature. In almost all my projects, I have indirectly used the theme of nature to present my ideas. Artist Statement: In this project, I created three different designs of my business card while also including my past-colored logos. I was able to do three different versions with my three different colored logos in diverse ways.             I created the business cards in these three specific ways because I wanted them to be simple but pretty. I think that simplicity makes things prettier, and the designs don’t take away from the message. The colors and designs do not have a specific meaning other than to be visually pleasing.  In this InDesign project, I decided to do a postcard from my home, Puerto Rico. Here, I was able to include my logo and Tag brush I had created in previous projects.      In the front of the postcard, a Puertorican beach is presented along with the message "Welcome to Puerto Rico". I decided to include my logo in the message to help symbolize all the flowers and beautiful nature that people can find when they visit Puerto Rico. This tropical island is known for its beautiful sights, warm weather and crystalline water beaches.      I decided to make the postcard about Puerto Rico because I miss my home and wanted to share it with the rest of my peers to help them get to know more about the beautiful island.  Tutorial 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AshfNo-i8Ws In this tutorial, I believe the easiest to use tool that is presented is the text tool. The text tool is a very general tool in different apps and does not requiere much direction at all. I might use this tool to write a text in order to complete a work or form a poster for a future job. I think that the hardest tool to use is the scissors tool because it can be a little confusing sometimes on what I am cutting specifically. I would use this tool to form an elaborated shape that I could not form with just a normal shape tool. I find interesting how in the video, the influencer demonstrates the different ways to form shapes instead of concentrating on the text part.   For my animation, I decided to do the sun rising and falling, to later, on showing how the moon rises and falls. At the same time, I added some flowers to demonstrate the growth during the day. Also, I added a butterfly to give a special effect to the night.     There is no specific inspiration for this project. I only wanted to edit nature in order to demonstrate how beautiful it is. I was able to create this easily through Photoshop. It took a lot of work and time but the result is worth it. For my first animation, I really like the result and hope to do more in the future.

  1 image you think it would be really hard to Photoshop yourself in to I think it would be difficult to Photoshop myself into this picture because of the position that the people are in and the little space that is left to edit myself into the picture. find 1 image that inspired you or gave you an idea for the "Somewhere" project This image inspired me to edit myself into a photoshoot of one of the posters of one of my favorite tv shows, Friends. I will use a simple picture of me and add myself into of the promo posters.  find 1 set of images that made you laugh This image made me laugh because of the effect the editing had on the picture.   In this assignment, I used the Adobe app called Photoshop to edit the colors in one of my pictures. The photograph I used for the assignment is the one I used for a previous assignment where I am sitting in the docs in front of the riverwalk while admiring the buildings.           The history behind this picture is that  I have visited the docks at night regularly to find some hours of peace and even, friendly conversations. This is a place where I connect with nature and other people at the same time.   My overall vision of this assignment was to give color to the city of Tampa. Artist Statement    The logo that I’m reusing for my Tagbrush project in Photoshop is the sunflower logo. In the Photoshop app, I added some new techniques to give the logo a complete, new makeover.    The picture was originally used for a past project, where I drew a sunflower to be drawn on my forehead as my personal logo. As I have mentioned before, the sunflower resonates with the qualities and values I have. Sunflowers are associated with happiness, bubbliness, and sunshine. Most of the time, I get told that I remind others of sunflowers because of how I am. These are traits that I wish to portray when I’m around my friends and family, therefore I decided that this specific flower would symbolize who I am as a person.    In the Photoshop app, while learning to use new tools, I changed the logo. I think the tool as is the hardest to use is the Image Adjustment, not because it is difficult but because it has many options that I believe will confuse users sometimes. I might use these tools to edit and image and add text to create posters or important projects. An image from “The People’s Portfolio” that brough me close to my emotions is the one of the little girl with a shirt saying “Free my dad” in the “US Immigration: Families Torn Apart” folder. Here, the little girl and the shirt portrays a message that her father has been taken by ICE or the United States government because that man is an immigrant. The little girl’s face demonstrates the emotion that are going through her head, mostly sadness, over her father missing. I cannot express how important a father is in a young girl’s life. To this day, I will never understand the discrimination the United government places on immigrants, who are only looking for a better life with better opportunities. My propaganda poster is an image of a woman looking in the mirror while editing a picture of herself on her phone. I used my self-portrait to turn my idea into a manipulating message that many women see today since the birth of social media.                Today, women are pressured to be perfect and look a certain way to please other people. These beauty standards have driven women to edit themselves using different apps to make themselves look “better”. The message in the poster, “Edit your photos. You’ll look better”, is something that women all over the world hear from men or even, other women. It is sad to see how many people do not recognize that this is a big issue, not only for women, but for everyone. Artist Statement:                The artwork I created recently is a drawing on the app, Adobe Illustrator. This piece consists of an airplane flying over the world, where some land and water can be seen. I designed this specific work to represent what I wish for my future in the next 20 years.               The plane works as a symbol that represents how I wish to travel in the future and explore places I haven’t before.
